I have no clue why but I always thought of Mainland China to be one of those Chinese places where the food would taste with no salts/spices, like it is there in other countries. One day my friend cleared this mistaken belief I had and recommended me to try out Mainland China. And after that, I have visited this place more than 2 times already.
The ambiance is very Oriental – with bamboos, paintings on the wall, dimly lit. The sector 29 outlet is really huge with a comfortable seating arrangement. On weekends, table reservation is recommended or else you will have to wait. We tried Chilly Chicken, Drums of Heaven, Vegetable Fried Rice, Chicken Hakka Noodles, Tsing Hoi Chicken.
The food is authentic in an Indian way. It was very flavorsome, fully cooked and had a perfect blend of spices. It is so much better than Bercos and Yo China. The quantity of food is good too. The service on weekends is painfully slow. We had to wait for at least 45 minutes for the main course.
This place is slightly heavy on your pocket, but then once in a while it is worth it to have such delectable food.
